Description
The PRM90 mechanical gearbox is designed for recreational boats that need a reliable, durable and lightweight marine gearbox.
The gearbox's cone clutches, both front and rear, are mechanically operated and do not require adjustment. When driving forward, the output shaft rotates clockwise which requires a right hand propeller when driving forward.
The gear reduction ratio is 2.50:1 for both forward and reverse clutching.
The sturdy, lightweight aluminium gearbox housing is ribbed for strength and heat dissipation, and therefore the gearbox does not require a separate oil cooler.
The output shaft can rotate freely with the gear in the neutral position. The marine gearbox is therefore also suitable for sailing boats, as there is no need to prevent the free rotation of the shaft (with the gearbox in the free position) when sailing.
The power rating for recreational use is max. 50 hp and a maximum engine speed of 5000 rpm.
